"Now I have a skill and I have found a job I like." Recently, Ma Xiaomei, a resident of Urumqi, took a job at a confinement center, which not only took care of the family, but also increased her income, which made her feel very satisfied.
In April this year, Urumqi launched the "Thousand Talents Training" program for the domestic service industry. The plan proposes to train 1,000 domestic service industry personnel for free and accurately, including elderly care, mother and baby care, domestic service and other types of work, and send a batch of "regular troops" with industry standards to the domestic service industry. This is one of the measures taken by the Urumqi Human Resources and Social Security Bureau to improve the skills of various workers in urban and rural areas and promote employment.
On October 22, the reporter learned from the Urumqi Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau that as of now, the "Thousand Talents Training" program for the domestic service industry has opened 29 classes, training 1,000 people, and 985 people have passed the training. The trainee rate is 90% and the employment rate is 80%.
Participants in the training include domestic service practitioners, urban registered unemployed, rural labor, migrant migrants, people with employment difficulties, unemployed college graduates, and enterprise transfer workers. There are seven occupations (types of work) involving lactation therapists, nurseries, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation physiotherapists, mother and baby care (confinement sisters), elderly care workers, domestic service attendants, and pediatric massage technicians.
After the training, the Urumqi Employment Training Center contacted a number of local domestic service enterprises to provide trainees with opportunities for apprenticeship and job recommendation, so as to realize training and promote employment. At the same time, Urumqi will promote the expansion and quality of domestic service to meet the needs of aging development and the implementation of the comprehensive two-child policy.
"The program has trained more domestic service personnel who are urgently needed in the market, not only allowing the students to learn skills, but also broadening their horizons. Many students have found their own advantages and breakthroughs, and with the help of the business ideas and operating models of successful domestic enterprises, they strive to break through the dilemma of employment or entrepreneurship and achieve their own rapid development." A staff member of the Vocational Capacity Building Department of the Urumqi Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said.
It is understood that this year Urumqi plans to complete various types of vocational training 96,000 people, has completed training 82,800 people, including on-the-job training, urban unemployed class skill training, entrepreneurship training, rural labor training.
