First, the nature and harm of electroplating wastewater
electroplating wastewater is generally plating parts cleaning water, waste electroplating solution and other wastewater, the composition is complex, toxic, heavy metal ions and cyanide inside, are carcinogenic, teratogenic, mutagenic toxic substances.
Second, electroplating wastewater classification
Because of the complexity of electroplating wastewater, it needs to be classified and treated separately. After treatment, the effluent is mixed and discharged to the standard.
① Cyanide-containing wastewater
Cyanide-containing wastewater is the wastewater caused by cyanide electroplating, which is characterized by low concentration and large amount. It should be noted that cyanide is a highly toxic substance. Electroplating wastewater containing cyanide is very harmful to the environment and the human body. It can enter the human body through a variety of channels, such as skin absorption, wound invasion, respiratory inhalation, accidental ingestion, etc. It can paralyze the central nervous system.
② Chromium-containing wastewater
Chromium-containing wastewater, Cr6 + is relatively toxic, and it is a swallowed poison/inhaled extremely toxic substance. Skin contact may cause sensitivity, and it is more likely to cause hereditary genetic defects. Inhalation may cause cancer. And after Cr6 + is reduced to Cr3 +, the toxicity can be greatly reduced.
③ All kinds of heavy metal wastewater (nickel wastewater, copper wastewater...)
All kinds of heavy metal wastewater, also known as mixed wastewater, are wastewater treated with chromium wastewater, wastewater treated with cyanide wastewater, nickel plating, copper plating, heavy metals and other wastewater.
