From December 10th to 11th, the 2016 China Urban Underground Space, Comprehensive Pipe Corridor, and Sponge City Technology Innovation and Application Summit Forum was grandly held in Shenzhen. The forum was co-sponsored by Shenzhen Civil Architecture Society, Shenzhen Metro Group Co., Ltd., China Metallurgical Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd., State Key Laboratory of Shield and Driving Technology, and Liaoning Sansan Industrial Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Shenzhen Zhongteng Construction Investment and Construction Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Kangzhen Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., and "Tunnel Construction" journal. The conference was strongly supported by Shenzhen Gongkan Geotechnical Group Co., Ltd., China Construction Southern Investment Co., Ltd., China Power Construction Southern Construction Investment Co., Ltd., China Transportation Construction Joint stock company, China Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Dayu Weiye (Beijing) International Technology Co., Ltd. The purpose of this forum is to promote the development process of "modernization, science and technology and intensification" of urban construction in our country. Through exchanges and sharing of our country's innovative achievements and technology applications in planning, design, construction and operation management of comprehensive pipe corridors, sponge cities and underground space development, we will effectively implement the development concept of "innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing", and deeply implement the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" for the development and utilization of urban underground space to jointly promote the construction of ecological civilized cities in our country and the sustainable development of cities. The guests attending this forum mainly include Academician Qian Qihu, Academician Wang Mengshu, Academician Wang Hao, Academician Nie Jianguo and Academician Wang Fuming of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Liu Fuyi, Vice Chairperson and Secretary General of Shenzhen Civil Construction Association, Mr. Hong Hailing, Executive Deputy Director of Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau, and Mr. Gao Erjian, Chief Engineer, Mr. Zhao Chunsheng, President of Shenzhen Survey and Design Association, Professor Li Shucai, Vice President of Shandong University, Mr. Huang Liping, Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Metro Group Co., Ltd. and Dr. Chen Xiangsheng, Chief Engineer. The opening ceremony was presided over by Liu Fuyi, executive vice chairperson and secretary-general of Shenzhen Civil Architecture Society, and delivered a speech by Hong Hailing, executive deputy director of Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau.
