On the morning of June 29, the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in Hefei, at which the list of winners of the 2019 Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Awards was released. The project "Key Technologies and Applications of Shallow Geothermal Energy Development in Hot Summer and Cold Winter Environment", which was submitted by the terminal, won the third prize of the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, achieving a new breakthrough for the terminal to win the Provincial Science and Technology Award.
The "Key Technologies and Applications of Shallow Geothermal Energy Development in Hot Summer and Cold Winter Environments" project was hosted by the terminal and completed in conjunction with several units. It was based on several provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects. After 10 years, it was coordinated with the combination of production, education and research. It focused on the key scientific issues of "heat generation law, resource evaluation, heat energy exchange, and efficient development" coupled with the hot summer and cold winter climate environment. The research formed the basic data and development and application technology of shallow geothermal energy resources in hot summer and cold winter environments. The project results have achieved significant social and economic benefits in the planning, design, and building energy conservation of shallow geothermal energy development and utilization.
Winning the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award this time is a major progress made by the research and innovation work of the terminal. In the next step, the terminal will continue to focus on the positioning of provincial geological environmental monitoring institutions, and at the same time provide technical services to the government, further promote the integrated development of business production and scientific research innovation, and fully promote the level of geological environmental monitoring capabilities to a new and higher level.
