The meeting heard reports on the prevention and control of geological disasters since 2020. It was pointed out that since 2020, under the strong leadership of the provincial party committee and the provincial government and the strong guidance of the provincial Department of Natural Resources, all geological exploration units have actively played their roles and done a lot of work in investigation and evaluation, monitoring and early warning, comprehensive management, emergency prevention and control, etc., providing comprehensive technical support and strong technical support for the prevention and control of geological disasters in the province.
The meeting held that since the 2020 flood season, the overall deviation of climate conditions in our province, extreme weather and climate events, geological disasters are frequent, and the province's geological disaster prevention and control pressure is high. Therefore, it is urgent for geological exploration units to further strengthen their responsibilities, increase work docking, strengthen monitoring and early warning, and effectively put ensuring people's lives first.
The meeting stressed that it is necessary to attach great importance to and resolutely implement the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the relevant arrangements of the provincial party committee and provincial government. With an extremely responsible attitude to the people, we should comprehensively and solidly do a good job in the prevention and control of geological disasters during the flood season. First, we must adhere to the high-level promotion and speed up the construction of the grid platform. On the basis of the establishment of the Anhui Provincial Geological Disaster Emergency Technical Guidance Center, we should increase the docking of work, and promote the listing of municipal-level geological disaster prevention and control centers as soon as possible, so as to better give play to the technical advantages of geological exploration units. Second, we must adhere to the linkage of departments and establish a mechanism for disaster prevention and relief. Strengthen work research and strive to straighten out the relationship in the linkage of work.
