According to the report, by the end of 2023, the total number of medical apparatus production enterprises in China was 32,313, a decrease of 319 from the previous year. The main business income of medical apparatus industry production enterprises in China was about 1.16 trillion yuan, a decrease of about 6.4% from the previous year.
report shows that in 2023, the State Drug Administration approved a total of 61 innovative medical apparatus products for listing, an increase of 6 over the previous year, an increase of 10.9%. By the end of 2023, 250 innovative medical apparatus products were approved for listing, maintaining an overall growth trend in the past decade.
report said that in 2023, the proportion of R & D investment in Chinese medical apparatus enterprises increased, and the total R & D investment of 117 class A share listed medical apparatus companies across the country was 22.518 billion yuan, accounting for 8.99% of the total annual operating income, an increase from 2022.
