En un punto de venta exprés completo en el distrito de Yuhang, Hangzhou, hay más de 20 vehículos no tripulados de Cainiao en una flota para entrega de terminales, cada uno con una capacidad de carga de 5 metros cúbicos. Como la mayor flota de vehículos expresos sin conductor con una sola carga de red, estos vehículos sin conductor no solo se encargan de la entrega de paquetes a la estación de correos, sino que también se encargan del servicio de recogida de paquetes de los clientes a los puntos de venta, realizando la eficiente combinación de recogida y entrega. En la actualidad, más del 30% de los paquetes en el sitio son entregados por vehículos sin conductor, que están conectados en serie a través del sitio, y las bicicletas transportan al menos 1.500 paquetes por día. La operación de combinación de vehículos múltiples también permite mejorar la eficiencia general de la flota mucho más que la eficiencia de las bicicletas.

Se informa que Cainiao es una de las primeras empresas logísticas de China en invertir en el desarrollo y operación de vehículos logísticos no tripulados de nivel L4. Ya en 2016, lanzó la primera generación de robots de entrega de terminales, y una serie de tecnologías de algoritmos han ganado premios internacionales. A partir de 2024, los vehículos sin conductor de Cainiao han estado operando en carreteras semiabiertas en colegios y universidades en más de 20 provincias de todo el país, con un kilometraje total de más de 5 millones de kilómetros, y se han entregado más de 40 millones de pedidos, acumulando una rica experiencia práctica para la distribución de vehículos sin conductor de carretera completamente abierta.
