In recent years, unmanned delivery, unmanned rental and other unmanned scenarios have received high attention in the field. On May 23, Shandong held a press conference to interpret Shandong's policies to accelerate the promotion of artificial intelligence empowered high-quality development. Teng Shuangxing, deputy director of the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, said that in terms of unmanned driving, Shandong has launched three types of pilots this year, and strives to use about three years to promote Shandong's unmanned driving to achieve breakthroughs in multiple fields.
Teng Shuangxing introduced that the first type of pilot is unmanned delivery at the end of cities across the province. Speed up the opening of the right of way, and cooperate with major express logistics enterprises to carry out unmanned delivery from urban express distribution centers to community express outlets on a large scale, and gradually expand to fresh food, medicine, fast-moving consumer goods and other fields. By 2027, more than 15,000 low-speed unmanned delivery vehicles will be deployed in the province, forming the country's first province-wide application model and creating a unique brand of autonomous driving.
The second type of pilot is Yantai City's all-scene unmanned driving. Build a "1 + 5 + N" unmanned driving system, create an unmanned driving model area in the coastal area, lay out 5 key application scenarios such as unmanned driving + industrial intelligent manufacturing, property city, characteristic cultural tourism, smart logistics, and scene testing, and develop N related industries such as vehicle manufacturing, new parts, and automotive software. By 2027, complete the construction of 200 kilometers of intelligent networked roads, deploy more than 2,000 unmanned vehicles, and create a benchmark city for unmanned driving in the province.
the third type of pilot is the starting area of new and old kinetic energy conversion in Jinan and the integration of vehicle and road clouds in Qingdao West Coast New District. Co-ordinate the investment and construction of roadside facilities, vehicle terminal equipment, and cloud control platforms, and organically combine "smart cars" and "smart roads" to carry out driverless scene applications in the fields of smart logistics, smart ports, smart sanitation, and smart traffic control, and wade out a mature and feasible commercialization model. By 2026, the Jinan starting area will complete the construction of 200 kilometers of roads and 117 intersections network facilities, deploy more than 150 driverless vehicles, and 20,000 networked social vehicles; by 2027, the Qingdao West Coast New Area will complete the construction of 300 kilometers of roads and 200 intersections network facilities, deploy more than 500 driverless vehicles, and 30,000 networked social vehicles.
