It is reported that there are currently nearly 300 functional unmanned vehicles on the road in Shenzhen, and it is expected to exceed 1,000 units by the end of 2025, with a strong growth momentum.

They can automatically complete the transportation from the storage center to the customer. They can achieve 24-hour uninterrupted work, which greatly improves the efficiency and coverage of logistics distribution. Especially for night delivery services, unmanned logistics vehicles can fill the gap caused by insufficient manpower and promote the reduction of costs at the end of express delivery."
The future market space is vast
It is reported that the rapid development of Shenzhen's unmanned logistics vehicle industry has not only created the first automatic distribution innovation system for large-scale applications in the country, but also innovatively put forward and strictly implemented the requirements of "six must" and "five unity" for key links such as "application approval, road access, data access, and vehicle identification" of functional unmanned vehicles. Shenzhen relies on the Shenzhen Intelligent Networked Transportation Association to organize Meituan, SF Express, Neolithic, JD.com, White Rhino, and Jiuzhi to jointly sign industry conventions, give play to the role of industry self-discipline, and jointly maintain market order and safety bottom line. In addition, it also relies on the data base of the TransPaaS platform of the joint stock company of the Shenzhen Urban Transportation Planning and Design Research Center to initially build a functional unmanned vehicle management and scheduling platform. The platform supports enterprises to apply for approval online, achieve unified access to supervision and road evaluation capabilities, integrate multiple traffic information, realize dynamic management of road rights, provide roadside information security, and expand public transportation capacity matching functions.
