On July 17, the reporter learned from the press conference held by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Zhejiang Province that from January to May, the total output of Zhejiang tea was 106,000 tons, and the output value was 23.82 billion yuan, which was stable and rising year-on-year, while the export volume and export amount both increased by more than 20% compared with the same period last year, reaching 75,400 tons and 227 million US dollars. Among them, matcha, famous tea and new tea bags have emerged, and the export product structure has become more diverse. Together with pearl tea and eyebrow tea, the two classics of Zhejiang tea will support the "good start" of Zhejiang tea going overseas in 2025. At the
meeting, the relevant person in charge of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Zhejiang Province said that Zhejiang took advantage of the victory and issued the latest "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the High-quality Development of the Tea Industry", which will accelerate the formation of a new pattern of "three products and three more": in terms of category, green tea is the leading, and black tea, yellow tea and other tea categories are coordinated development; in terms of brand, Longjing tea is the leader to promote the coordinated development of regional public brands, corporate brands, and product brands; in terms of products, tea is the main body to expand the development of tea beverages, tea foods, tea daily chemicals, tea health products and other products. According to the "Opinions", Zhejiang tea industry will usher in a "full chain upgrade". In terms of source planting, by the end of 2027, more than 800,000 mu of suitable mechanized tea gardens will be built. Through ecological, landscape and integrated management, 50 tea characteristic towns and 50 provincial-level tea travel integration boutique lines will be created. In the mid-end processing link, crack the bottleneck of intensive processing, build a whole-process standardized production system for new tea drinks and new tea foods, and strive to break through 60 billion yuan in annual output value of intensive processing tea by the end of 2027. On the back-end branding, in addition to "Big Brother" Longjing tea, focus on North Zhejiang white tea, South Zhejiang morning tea, and West Zhejiang Longding to create a regional public brand matrix.
