On the morning of May 18, at Guangzhou Dalang Station of Guangzhou Railway (Group) Company, the China-Europe train (Guangzhou to Volcino) has been filled with 45 containers of goods and is ready to go to Volcino, Russia. At the same time, at Shilong Freight Yard in Dongguan, Guangdong, the China-Europe train (Dongguan to Duisburg) is also full of goods to go to Europe. The two China-Europe trains are jointly built by Guangzhou Railway Group, China Railway Container Transportation Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Branch, Sinotrans and other enterprises. It is understood that the China-Europe train (Guangzhou to Volcino) has been running at full capacity since August 28, 2016, and the China-Europe train (Dongguan to Duisburg) has been running in both directions in early April this year. According to the person in charge of the freight office of Guangzhou Railway Group, the two trains all use fast trains with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and implement regular departures and time-limited arrivals. The whole journey takes 19 days, which is about 15 days less than that of sea transportation, which greatly saves the trade costs and transaction time of countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative". Compared with other China-Europe trains in China, the China-Europe train (Dongguan to Duisburg) runs a distance of 13,488 kilometers, which is longer and more efficient. These two trains have effectively promoted the growth of Guangdong's import and export trade. From January to April this year, Guangdong's foreign trade import and export 2.10 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.7% year-on-year, accounting for 23.9% of our country's total import and export value in the same period.
