暑假期间,孩子们出行游玩热情高涨,未成年人单独骑行或者结伴骑行也明显增加。据了解,假期一直是未成年人交通事故的高发期,其中自行车、电动自行车事故居于高位,学生家长及监护人,一定要加强对孩子的交通安全教育、监护看管等工作,外出游玩一定要注意交通安全,切莫出现低龄骑行、乘坐摩托车、电动自行车不佩戴安全头盔、不系牢安全卡扣、违法载人、骑行改装车辆等违法行为。

很多人知道,未满18周岁不得驾驶机动车,但却常常会忽略的是,在道路上驾驶自行车必须年满12周岁,包括共享自行车!驾驶电动自行车必须年满16周岁。南京交警第三大队民警刘宁告诉记者:“有的家长也会有疑问,12岁以下的儿童如何学习自行车?必须要在封闭的场馆、封闭的区域内进行自行车驾驶的学习。”

日常生活中,孩子的监护人也需要强化自身交通安全知识学习,即使是对已满12周岁可以骑行自行车,满16周岁可以骑行电动自行车的儿童加强教育,掌握其出行路线、目的地,及时制止其违反交通法规的行为。
